No baby yet.
Waiting, patiently (sometimes). Ready. Excited. Nervous. Sleepless already. Distracted. Wandering.
Saturday is our due date. It's like having everything ready before a dinner party and the guests are 15 minutes late. What do you do with those last 15 minutes? You can't sit still, there's nothing left to do, and time stretches into infinity.
Sigh.
Ugh. The waiting stinks. We're waiting too, though I haven't hit my due date yet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the calm before the storm. Not that it will be a storm of course ! But treasure the last few days of full Peanut time. Good luck ! We will be eagerly checking for updates. Back to the knitting needles with you, thats always a good way to relieve the tension of waiting.
ReplyDelete......ahhhh....I thought it had happened on Feb 12th since you did not post a pic last Friday (feb 12 is my b-day). ...hope you don't have to wait much longer! Are you going to do home birth or hospital?
ReplyDeleteby the way..friday moments ==== Esther :-)
ReplyDeletewhile you are waiting..maybe you can help me out. I had read your blog about play dough...today I found a recipe..but I don't know what: teaspoons cream of tartar is in Dutch. Do you know what they mean? Was your recipe the same or a different one?

thnx
Esther
The recipe looks a lot like the one I used. As for a translation, I have no idea. Apparently, it's a salt, "potassium hydrogen tartrate." That might be an easier starting point for a search. No idea what it does in the play dough.
ReplyDeleteFound it! wijnzuursteen...so all I need now is the foodcoloring and I am good to go. :-) very excited about this.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Now I won't have to worry about packing it if we ever end up back in NL.
ReplyDeletebest wishes for the arrival of your baby!
