The first finished project I get to show you is a Throwing Bird.
My dear, sweet Peanut is suddenly a throwing monster. He throws toys, he throws food, he throws more or less anything he can get his hands on. This is apparently a phase. It is certainly annoying. Anyway, a wise woman suggested to me that we designate some soft things for throwing, like socks. I decided to take the idea and run with it a bit, so we have Throwing Bird now. He can throw it wherever, whenever he wants. It's densely stuffed with poly-fill and gets decent distance, all things considered. Most importantly, it can't do any damage.
Scratch that - it can't do much damage unless the first place said toddler decides to throw it is into the sink where toddler's diaper is soaking. That just might lead to mama's blood pressure spiking and Throwing Bird getting his first bath. Oh the joys!
For those of you interested - the pattern is from here. This first one was a one evening project, start to finish, minus first bath. More have been requested in a variety of colors. Mama will, of course, comply.
